When it comes to London’s Top 3 Paid Premier League Managers, their are probably no surprises!

So, who makes the top 3?

Thomas Tuchel – Chelsea 7 Million

With an eye watering 7 Million GBP per year salary, Tuchel is a sizeable investment for Chelsea Football Club.

Has the investment been worth it? Absolutely! Tuchel has already delivered the highest club Football trophy in only his first year. That alone is an excellent return on investment.

Nuno Espirito Santo – Tottenham 7 Million

Tottenham have faced a lot of criticism in recent times for a frugal approach to investment in the club. However, Daniel Levy has denied this, and the appointment of Santo, following the sacking of Mourinho, has been a pointer in this approach.

The former Wolves manager is the kind of down to earth, hard working manager, that Spurs have built a reputation for, so time will tell whether this salary has proven to give sufficient R.O.I.

Mikel Arteta – Arsenal FC 5 Million

With a work experience record that, whilst short, features a certain Pep Guardiola, Arteta is a speculative investment by Arsenal FC.

The new Gunners boss has received significant backing from the Kroenke family in investing in the club, and now he is viewed as a long term return on investment. He has already delivered a couple of cups, however league returns have been modest at best.

Overall investment rating a preliminary 6/10.

It may seem excessive to pay so much to a Football coach, however, Football is BIG Business.

So, whether or not those salaries are worthy investments will depend on the returns that those investments achieve. With two, Santo and Arteta, the jury is still out…they are still in the infancy of their ‘reign’. With Tuchel however, Chelsea have invested in the here and now…and he must continue to deliver!
